Your favourite scientists can battle it out in Science Kombat!

Ever wondered who would win in an all-out battle between Albert Einstein and Charles Darwin? |Well, you’re in luck. DANA DA SILVA reviews Science Kombat, where you can pit your favourite scientists against each other in 8-bit form Mortal Kombat.

Science Kombat is a free-to-play browser game that was created by a group of developers for Spanish Superinteressante Magazine. It is a mix of Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat parodies, where you can fight with scientists and inventors like Nikola Tesla, Albert Einstein, Charles Darwin, Stephen Hawking, Pythagoras and Marie Curie.

Tesla v Curie
Each scientist has their own special abilities that relate to their discoveries or inventions, with six basic attacks and two special attacks. For the special attacks, Einstein can jump through space and time, Darwin attacks by evolving from monkey to man, Newton uses his prism to blind his opponents, Curie uses the power of radium-coated hands and Stephen Hawking can create black holes. Clever stuff!

Alan Turing VS Marie Curie
The game is in Spanish, but because of its simple layout, it’s easy enough to figure out what you have to do after some poking and prodding. The game is simple to play on your browser and uses your keyboard. The game designers are also looking to make it accessible on mobile platforms. Overall, it’s a cute, fun game that will finally answer the questions that have plagued you since high school: which scientist is the brightest spark, with the strongest punch?

You can play it here. Pew pew pew!
