In a Facebook post on Monday Mahlatsi – who often goes by the name Malaika wa Azania – said the ANC is using Maimane’s appointment as Democratic Alliance leader to draw attention away from its own offences, listing the events at Marikana and the xenophobic raids among them. “Maybe the ANC must not claim “moral righteousness here,†she wrote.
