Bangladesh: the beautyful ones are born (and England go home)

England are out of the cricket World Cup. At the hands of Bangladesh.

In so doing, Bangladesh have made it to the quarter finals of the tournament, for the first time ever.

After scoring 275/7, England could manage only 260 all out. And Adelaide erupted.

Bangladesh’s captain Mashrafe Mortaza dedicated the game to the country’s freedom fighters. That’s how much it meant to him.

As well as a historic day for the team, batsman Mahmudullah Riyad was breaking records all on his own.

He picked up man of the match for making 103 – the first century for a Bangladeshi at a World Cup, ever.

Salute Bangladesh!
