Eskom mothballs its top four

    eskom mothballed

In a shock move Eskom’s top four executives were put on leave this week. Although Eskom chairman Zola Tsotsi said there was “nothing sinister” about the suspensions, it’s believed that the four were – ahem – “mothballed” to make way for an independent inquiry, which they’d opposed. By now we’re all well aware that inquiries don’t really resolve anything (although they can absolve politicians of responsibility) so the question is, will this move do anything to improve the country’s energy security?
