South Africa’s leaky State Security Agency

    Among the many secrets spilled by the Spy Cables leaked to Al Jazeera, is the fact that our government and intelligence services are wide open to infiltration. It is speculated that someone from within the State Security Agency itself is the source of last week’s leak; however, civil-society groups have pointed out that the latest leaks may be used as a pretext to sign the Protection of State Information bill into law. Because, if the spies can’t keep their own secrets, it totally makes sense to punish any citizens who may obtain the information.
