A public service video put out by the Croation government to highlight the shocking reality of domestic abuse makes for difficult viewing. Titled “One photo a day in the most terrible year of my life,” the video uses a feel good internet trope – that of marking the highlights of your year through a picture or video clip for each day – to highlight an issue that is often hushed up.
