What’s become of our Rainbow Nation?

    Madiba Racism

At the time of Nelson Mandela’s death, just over a year ago, South Africans were full of talk about creating a living legacy for Madiba through our daily actions.

Come 2015, and the headlines show we have a way to go, from assaults on pedestrians, to segregating classrooms in a throwback to Bantu education, and the latest horrific story about the racially motivated rape of a Kimberley schoolboy.

Madiba dedicated his life to achieving freedom in South Africa. He’s resting now, and it’s about time we stepped up to continue his work – it takes more than 67 minutes a year.
