You’re a kite dancing in a hurricane, Mr Bond

James Bond is back.

This time, 007 follows a cryptic message sending him on a wild goose chase to uncover a secret organisation called, you guessed it: “Spectre”.

While Bond is searching for the sinister plot that he must obviously solve, the Secret Service finds itself facing closure.  It would appear political forces want to shut this sinister organisation down, too.

These days, given what we know about MI6, CIA and Mossad, we would have little sympathy if the British Secret Service (or any secret service for that matter) faced closure. But this is 007.  We can surely suspend disbelief – for our favourite misogynist.

Daniel Craig continues as Bond for the fourth time, but it is the inclusion of Christopher Waltz in the film that is likely to set the tongues wagging. Oh, there is also Monica Bellucci. The superb Sam Mendes is the director, his second in the series.

As usual, the film is dripping with sexy one-liners, frenetic car chases and lonely dilemmas. Seems a feast!
